Local SEO that gets Orange County businesses into the map pack.
When someone nearby searches for what you do, you want to be the result in the map, not page two of the blue links. Local SEO is the work that makes you eligible for that map pack: a Google Business Profile built out properly, a consistent name and number across the web, and a page for each city you serve. Your Google Business Profile is the centerpiece, and I treat it that way.
What local SEO covers
Your Google Business Profile, optimized
Your profile is what Google reads when it decides who to show in the map. I set the right primary and secondary categories, fill in every service, write a description that matches the business you actually run, complete the attributes, and keep the photos current. Done well, this is the single biggest lever you have on local visibility.
Citations and NAP consistency
Local ranking leans on one identical name, phone, and service area showing up across the directories Google trusts. I get that information consistent everywhere it lives, then keep it that way, so a stray old number or a misspelled name is not quietly working against you.
A page for every city you serve
A footer list of town names does not rank. Separate, genuinely written city pages can, because each one gives Google a real reason to associate you with that place. I build a rankable page per city you actually serve, with content specific to it rather than the same paragraph with the name swapped.
Reviews that feed ranking
Reviews are a ranking signal and a trust signal at once. I set up an honest request-and-reply workflow: you ask every customer the same way, you reply to what comes back, and nothing is gated or incentivized. That keeps you inside Google's rules and builds a review history that holds up.
Map-pack + local search reporting
You get reporting in plain language: where you show up for the searches that matter, what moved since last time, and what to do next. No vanity dashboard, just the few numbers that tell you whether the work is paying off and where to point it next.
Why Orange County local search is its own game
Proximity and prominence, not just keywords
National organic search rewards authority and links. Local search adds two factors you cannot type your way around: how close you are to the searcher, and how established Google judges your business to be. The work that moves a local result is different from the work that moves a national one, and I treat them as different jobs.
The map pack is a different surface
The three results in the map at the top of a local search are their own surface, separate from the blue links below them. Ranking in one does not get you the other. Getting into that pack is mostly about your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and your proximity, so that is where the effort goes.
I run this on my own profile first
This campaign is something I am running on the studio's own Google Business Profile before I sell it to you. I would rather show you what the work looks like on a profile I own than describe it in the abstract. You are not the test case.
Proof, not promises
The proof so far is a real client with a name and a live site you can open right now: MBM Baseball Training, rebuilt around a booking path that works.
Questions
What's the difference between local SEO and regular SEO?
Regular SEO is about ranking in the standard list of links, mostly on authority, content, and the links pointing at your site. Local SEO is about ranking in the map pack and local results, where Google also weighs how close you are to the searcher and how established your business looks. The two overlap, but the local side leans heavily on your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and a consistent name and address, which a national strategy can ignore.
Do I need a Google Business Profile, and can you manage it?
For local visibility, yes: the profile is what feeds the map pack, so without one you are not eligible for the result most local customers see first. I can set it up from scratch or take over one that already exists, get the categories, services, description, and attributes right, and keep it maintained as part of ongoing work. It stays your profile and your Google account throughout; I work inside it, I do not hold it hostage.
How long until I show up in the Orange County map pack?
No honest builder promises a ranking. Local results depend on your competition, your category, and how close you are to each searcher, none of which I control. What I can tell you is the realistic shape of it: profile and citation fixes can show up in weeks, while review history and city-page traction usually build over a few months of consistent work. I would rather give you that honest timeline than a number I cannot stand behind.
Do you only do local SEO for Orange County businesses?
Orange County is home base, so it gets the focus and this page is written for it. The work itself is the same anywhere, though, and I am glad to do it for a business outside the county. If you are local, you get the advantage of someone who knows the area and is running the same campaign on his own profile down the road from you.
